Instructions
In a Kenwood style mixer (with bread kneeding attachment), mix the flour, yeast, salt and water. Beat for 10 min. You want a soft and elastic ball that does not stick to the sides and does not crumble. If it sticks to the sides, add more flour, if it crumbles, add more warm water. You can kneed all this by hand, but do it hard and long, at least 20 min to get a soft and elastic ball.
Put in a bowl that has been oiled with olive oil, cover with plastic wrap, and leave in a warm place (about 30°C) for 30 min. You can put it into the oven if the oven is off and has been warmed for a few minuted previously. Note the temp. it really must not be hot or the yeast will cook. It will double in size over about 30min.
Roll out the ball, or stretch it by hand over a metal plate or a pizza stone that can go into the oven. If you do not have any suitable plate, you can roll it onto parchment paper (greese-proof paper) and put that onto a sheet of tinfoil, then both onto an oven rack. Let the rolled out pastry relax and rise more for between 30 to 40 minutes. It should double in size (thickness).
Take out the oven (if it was in there rising) and turn the oven on to full. It really needs to be as hot as possible. You can now assemble your pizza to your taste.
Toppings & Ideas for pizza: Tomato, bacon, onion, peppers, cheese || Nordic: Tomato, onion, salmon, avocado || Polo: Tomato, chicken, peppers, cheese || Vegetarian: Tomatoe, artichokes, onions, peppers, cheese etc. etc. Just uses what you have at hand, and use whatever you like. You have all been to a pizza resterant and you all have your favorite. You know what you like. And yes, a Hawaian is quite nice: Tomato, ham, onion, pinapple and cheese.
When the pizza is assembled, and the oven is hot, put it in and cook until done. The time will depend on your oven. A professional pizza oven is twice as powerful at leas as a domestic home oven, and can cook a pizza in 3 or 4 min. At home, the same cooking result will take 10 min, maybe more. In my old oven, I will cook a pizza for 15 min until the cheese is melted and just starts to go brown, and the underside of the pizza is lightly brown.
Notes
The pizzas here more than 300g flour and are made for 2 or 3 people each. Using 500g flour will make a very large pizza, good for 6 people.
